FAQ about Satin Eyeshadow
What are Satin Eyeshadows?
Satin Eyeshadows have a soft, satin finish: neither super shiny nor completely matte. The shine can vary per color, so not every Satin Eyeshadow looks the same.
How do you use Satin Eyeshadow?
Satin Eyeshadow works best with the E02 Flat & Flawless Brush, a flat brush that allows you to spread the eyeshadow smoothly. Pick up the Eyeshadow dragging - so don't poke, but dab and drag - and apply it to your eyelid in the same way. Satin Eyeshadow is ideal for the eyelid itself, but less suitable for blending.
Where can you apply Satin Eyeshadow?
Satin Eyeshadow can be used anywhere on the eye, but looks best on the moving eyelid. It is less suitable for the arcade arch or to blur hard lines.
How to build an eyeshadow look?
There are many ways to create an eyeshadow look, but we recommend working with 4 colors: a light color, one medium color, one dark color, and a matte color for the arcade arch. Here's how to do it:
- Step 1: The base with the light color
Start with the light color and apply to the entire eyelid up to the brow arch with the E02 Flat & Flawless Brush. This forms the base and allows the other colors blending easily. - Step 2: The medium color above the iris
Next, apply the medium color on the moving eyelid, right above the iris. Use the same E02 Flat & Flawless Brush and dab the color gently on the eyelid to gradually build up the intensity. Avoid hard smudges to avoid unwanted fallout. - Step 3: Create depth with the darker color
Now it's time to add depth. Take the darker color and place it in the outer corner of the eye. Drag the color in a V or C shape inward toward the center of your eyelid. Use the E04 Crease Master Brush and blend gently to avoid hard lines. - Step 4: The matte color in the arcade arch
Grab the matte color and apply it in the arcade arch with the E01 Classic Blender Brush. Make gentle, back-and-forth movements from left to right to blend the color blur beautifully and create a smooth transition. This defines the shape of your eye and gives the look a professional finish.
Tip: Take the time to blend everything well. A well-blended look always looks softer and more beautiful!

In the EU, animal testing for cosmetics has been completely banned since 2013, both for finished products and for individual ingredients.
